• Trevor James Loverude, 36, Gibbon, requested a contested omnibus hearing on a charge alleging fourth-degree assault at a Sept. 3 Rule 8 hearing. The hearing was set for 2:30 p.m. Nov. 12, 2026. Pending the hearing, he was released on the same release conditions as previously ordered.
• Steven Paul Myhre, 59, Minneapolis, pled guilty on a charge alleging third-degree DWI Sept. 3. He was sentenced to 364 days in the Sibley County Jail, stayed and placed on up to two years supervised probation with conditions that he serve two days in the Sibley County Jail, 28 days electronic home monitoring with electronic alcohol monitoring, complete 40 hours Sentence to Service within six months, complete a comprehensive assessment within 60 days and follow all recommendations, not use or possess alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substances, including THC, pay a $500 penalty assessment, $985 fine and surcharge within 90 days.
• Jalen John Goodthunder, 33, Mankato, failed to appear due to a scheduling error Sept. 3 for an omnibus hearing on charges alleging unlawful firearm possession, felony first-degree possession of a controlled substance, felony first-degree possession of a controlled substance with a firearm and two counts of felony fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance. A plea hearing was set for 1 p.m. Oct. 8, 2026.
• Noah Riley Herrington, 18, St. Cloud, admitted to violating probation terms at a Sept. 3 hearing. A previous stay of adjudication was vacated and he was convicted of the offense. Probation was reinstated with previous terms and conditions ordered plus that he serve 20 days in jail and complete a comprehensive assessment within 15 days.
