• John Edward Clark III, 47, Green Isle, was charged with three counts of felony 5th-degree drug possession-not small amount marijuana and misdemeanor domestic assault-inflicts or attempts to inflict bodily harm on another Thursday.

Unconditional bail was set at $50,000. Conditional bail is $5,000 with conditions including a domestic no contact order, no alcohol/controlled substance use or possession. No use or possession of firearms or dangerous weapons. An omnibus hearing was set for 1 p.m. Nov. 7.

According to court documents, Sibley County Sheriff’s Deputy Eric Cruckson responded to a domestic assault report at 380 Lake Erin Dr., Green Isle at 9:35 a.m. Sept. 24. A woman said Clark had physically abusive to her the last two years but this was first time she reported it. She said Clark hit her on the left side of her head and kicked her in the ribs and abdomen, grabbed her by the throat and threw her to the floor.

The woman said Clark was a ranking member of motorcycle club and she feared retaliation from Clark and the club. She said Clark was known to carry a pistol and knives.

At 11:21 a.m., Sibley County Dispatch learned Clark returned to the residence. Law enforcement including Arlington Police responded to the residence, took Clark into custody and located a baggie with 3.5 grams of methamphetamine, $1,902 in cash and a diamond ring. Three baggies contained 38 assorted pills. A search warrant was served. Deputy Soeffker found a .300 short barrel rifle and a loaded .38 special revolver handgun.
