Brown County Court
• A felony threats of violence charge was filed Tuesday against Jason Nicholas Neal, 43, New Ulm.
According to court documents, New Ulm Police Corp. Chris Davis met with a woman and witness at the Brown County Law Enforcement Center Feb. 6. The victim said she wanted to talk about information she learned from a witness about Neal, after learning about it from a witness.
The woman said her daughter told her of comments Neal made about having a gun and the woman’s name on the bullets. The woman said the witness’s friends also heard the comments. The woman said Neal talked about putting her in a van and with help from a friend, kidnapping the woman and a juvenile.
The woman said she felt threatened by the comments. A witness said the comments were true and that Neal was upset about a child protection investigation involving a juvenile about 45 days ago.
Officer Davis tried to contact Neal and left voicemail. Neal has not provided a statement to officer Davis.
A Zoom hearing was set for 8:30 a.m. March 12.
