• Jason Phillip Presler, 51, Gaylord, received a stay of adjudication for felony domestic assault Thursday. He was sentenced to up to five years probation to the Department of Corrections, 42 days in the Sibley County Jail, complete Le Sueur-Sibley Treatment Court and a domestic violence program approved by probation. He must not have direct or indirect contact with the victim, not use or possess alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substances.

• Victor Angel Ruiz, 32, Henderson received a stay of execution for 90 days in the Sibley County Jail for fifth-degree assault. He was fined $385 and placed on up to one year supervised probation, sentenced to seven days in the Sibley County Jail, complete a mental health diagnostic assessment within 60 days, have no contact with the victim.

• Roman Garcia-Jaquez, 21, Gaylord, pled guilty to felony domestic assault by strangulation. Counts of misdemeanor domestic assault, disorderly conduct and fourth-degree damage to property were dismissed. He received a stay of adjudication and placed on up to three years supervised probation, complete a diagnostic assessment with a domestic violence inventory, follow all recommendations and complete 40 hours of Sentence to Service. A sentence hearing was set for 1 p.m. Feb. 15.
