According to a Sept. 23 letter to GFW Supt. Dr. Kelly Smith from KA Project Manager Brian Johnson, the request includes $28,650 for an electric fire pump, $5,750 to install it and $22,900 for a reduced voltage soft start controller and automatic power transfer switch, if required. The Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments (MCA) are the state tests in reading, mathematics, and science that are used to meet federal and state legislative requirements. The percentage of NPS elementary students meeting standards in math was 44.9% in 2023 and 63.2% in 2024; for reading 48.3% in 2023 and 70.5% in 2024; and for science 66.7% in 2023 and 43.5% in 2024.
