NEW ULM – The Red Cross collected 181 units of blood during the three day blood drive at the New Ulm Community Civic Center. This surpassed the Red Cross goal of 173 units for the drive. One Red Cross pin was awarded to Richard Lieb on Wednesday for reaching 17 gallons of donated blood. The next drive will be Sept 17, 18, and 19 at the Civic Center.

NEW ULM — In response to concerns about speeding and vehicles running a 4-way stop, Brown County commissioners unanimously approved a resolution Tuesday to ask the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) to do a CSAH 5 speed study.
