MADELIA MN — A vehicle accident near the House of Print facility late Wednesday afternoon forced the cancellation of Thursday’s print edition after a utility pole was destroyed, cutting power to the facility for 14 hours.
The collision, which occurred shortly before 5 p.m. Wednesday, severed lines and left the plant without electricity until 7 a.m. Thursday. The extended duration of the outage prevented the scheduled printing and distribution of the daily newspaper.
Subscribers may access a full digital replica of the day’s news via the online e-edition. Normal print operations are expected to resume immediately, with Friday’s edition scheduled for delivery at the standard time.
