NU Area Foundation announces grant awards
The New Ulm Area Foundation recently awarded more than $49,000 grants to 13 local groups during its spring 2022 grant cycle:
• $700 to Seifert-Bianchi American Legion Post 132 for Salute to Veterans concert to be held July 20, 2022
• $3,000 to Downtown Action Team for a building mural
• $2,500 to The Grand Center for Arts & Culture for youth summer arts camps
• $5,000 to Hermann Monument Society for HermannFest 2022
• $750 to Ivy House for parent educational resources
• $5,000 to Junior Pioneers for upgraded park equipment and facilities
• $3,500 to Lind House for window replacement
• $3,000 to New Ulm Community Concert Association for its 2022 season
• $3,300 to New Ulm Area Catholic Schools for a replacement sound system
• $2,500 to the New Ulm Business Resource and Innovation Center and St. John’s Church for an early childhood feasibility study
• $15,000 to Oak Hills Memorial Foundation for memory care and assisted living center expansion
• $3,000 to State Street Theater Co. for Kenny Rogers tribute band and “A Christmas Carol” production
• $2,000 to Suzuki School of Music for Summer Pops Camp
