New Ulm FFA qualifies for CDE state competition
NEW ULM – The New Ulm Future Farmers of America (FFA) Career and Development Events (CDE) teams qualified for the State competition on April 27-29 in St. Paul.
Student Members competed on Oct.16th at the Region VII Contests in Arlington, MN. New Ulm also had 21 students attend the Region VII FFA Leadership Day.
The General Livestock Judging team took first out of 25 teams regional competition. Kate Schmidt and Marah Schwab were among the overall top ten finishers, with Schmidts taking second and Marah finishing third.
New Ulm’s Horse Judging Team finished first out of 20 teams at regional. In the top ten finishers, Blaire Aschenbrenner took second; Ava Nachreiner finished 5th and Taylor Sommer took tenth.
New Ulm’s Dairy Judging team finished 3rd out of 14 teams at regional. Alex Schroeder took first place in the individual competition.
