Agriculture’s impact exhibition displayed at fair

EAGAN, Minn. — A showcase focusing on the impact of Minnesota agriculture will be displayed at the Minnesota State Fair by the Minnesota Farm Bureau Federation.

The exhibit is titled “Farmers Produce more than Produce,” which will be located in the Farm Bureau’s building on Underwood Avenue, directly behind the Giant Slide.

There will be opportunities to interact with Farm Bureau leadership and members who will talk about the vitality of agriculture in the state and address questions about the significance of farming and agriculture production.

Farm Bureau leaders will provide the agriculture industry’s perspective on the upcoming midterm election and the 2023 Farm Bill, along with many other issues facing farmers and the impact of legislation on agriculture and rural communities, updates on the upcoming fall harvest and general agriculture issues.

Other highlights of the exhibit are:

• A grocery store scanner to learn more about agriculture and its ties to items people use every day.

• Try on a pair of glasses and take a look at 3-D displays and the many byproducts that come from agriculture production.

• Test your agriculture knowledge in an agriculture trivia arcade game.

• A display honoring the 2022 Century and Sesquicentennial Farm recipients.
