Rec Center Openings The aquatic center and indoor playground are now open! Vogel Fieldhouse will open soon. Rec Center hours have now expanded to Monday through Friday 5 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Daily admission fees are $7 for youth and seniors, $9 general admission and $3 for playground only. Membership options available, check with the front desk.

Open Swim hours are Monday and Wednesday from 4-6:30 p.m., Friday 4-8 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.

Lap Swim hours are M-F 5a.m.-8a.m., 10a.m.-8a.m. (except Fridays), Saturday 7-10:30a.m., Sunday 9 a.m.- 10:30a.m. and are subject to change

Aqua Fitness classes will start Tuesday, September 28 and will be held Tuesdays & Thursdays at 8a.m. and 5:15p.m. More classes will be added in the coming weeks

Civic Center is open for skating and open hockey. Check the website for dates/times.

There are several job openings at the Rec Center — we are currently accepting applications for lifeguards and seasonal maintenance. We are also accepting applications for a Coordinator to work at our Welcome Desk. Job duties include selling memberships, light maintenance, customer service and overseeing the Rec Center on nights and weekends. Apply online at newulmmn.gov and/or to view details!

Hermann Monument is open Saturday/Sundays 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Please follow COVID protocols in place for visiting the monument, including social distancing. Admission is $3.00 per person. For rentals outside of regular hours contact lizm@newulmmn.gov for rates and availability.

The Community Center-CAST Activities have resumed, and the Center is open for activities and programming! Please call 354-3212 or email castnu@newulmtel.net with questions. Meals for shut ins and takeout available by calling 359-2243. Watch for congregate meals have reopened as well.

Memorial/Gift Giving Ideas –purchase one or more paver stone(s) with your inscription(s), in the walkways near Hermann Monument and/or German Park for $200 each, contact the Park & Rec office at 359-8344. Park or trail benches range in price from $1,500 to $3,500 each, call 359-8344.

Riverside Environmental Learning Center is open Saturdays and Sundays 1 p.m.- 4 p.m.
