Park & Rec Reports

We are open! Masks must be worn anytime in the Rec and Civic Centers, including when working out or playing sports. Everyone entering must do a self-screening at the door prior to entering. If you answer yes to any of the questions, you may not enter. Everyone must check in at the Welcome desk prior to exercising and maintain 12′ physical distance. Members are asked to limit socializing while in the building. Please bring your own water bottle, as the water fountains remain turned off. Hours are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m., Tuesday from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. (open until 9 p.m. on this Tuesday, January 12), Saturday 7 a.m.-4 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Please check our website for open skating hours. We are not having open hockey until after January 14.

Fitness Classes require pre-registration/reservation. You may register for a class online or at the Rec Center. Classes are included in Memberships or are $5 per class without a membership. Please check the schedule at newulmmn.gov

Rock on Ice started January 8. Pre-registration is required with a maximum of 25. Register online at newulmmn.gov or stop at the Rec Center.

Bloodmobile at Rec Center – There is a Community blood drive at the Rec Center Wednesday, January 13 through Friday, January 15. The Fitness Center on Court 1 and the walking track will be open regular building hours, but please exercise caution when using or crossing the track during blood drive hours from 12 to 7 p.m. January 13 and 14 (Wednesday and Thursday) and Friday, January 15 from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. We apologize for this inconvenience and thank you for working around the Blood Drive.

Racquetball and Adult Basketball League registration is open. You may register online or at the Rec Center.

Outdoor Ice Rinks- crews continue working on outdoor rinks. The recent warm temps have put us back to almost ground zero. We plan to continue trying to make ice.

The Community Center – Meals on Wheels and takeout meals are operating. Call 359-2243 for delivery or reserve a meal for pick up.
