Park & Rec Report

We are open! Masks must be worn anytime in the Rec and Civic Centers, including when working out or playing sports. Everyone entering must do a self-screening at the door prior to entering. If you answer yes to any of the questions, you may not enter. Everyone must check in at the Welcome desk prior to exercising and maintain 12′ physical distance. Members are asked to limit socializing while in the building. Please bring your own water bottle, as the water fountains remain turned off. We will be open this weekend, both days from 7 a.m.-12 p.m. Starting Monday, January 4, Hours will revert to Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m., Tuesday from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday 7 a.m.-4 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Please check our website for open skating hours. We are not having open hockey until after we are allowed to have games and scrimmages.

Bloodmobile at Rec Center – There is a Community blood drive at the Rec Center Wednesday, January 13 through Friday, January 15. The Fitness Center on Court 1 will be open regular building hours, but the Walking Track needs to be closed from 12 to 7 p.m. January 13 and 14 (Wednesday and Thursday) and Friday, January 15 from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. We apologize for this inconvenience and thank you for working around the Blood Drive.

Outdoor Ice Rinks- crews continue flooding outdoor rinks. Depending on the weather, we are hoping to have them ready in the next week or so. The warming house will remain closed.

The Community Center – Meals on Wheels and takeout meals are operating. Call 359-2243 for delivery or reserve a meal for pick up.

Memorial/Gift Giving Ideas -purchase one or more paver stone(s) with your inscription(s), in the walkways near Hermann Monument and/or German Park for $200 each, contact the Park & Rec office at 359-8344. Park or trail benches range in price from $1,500 to $3,500 each, call 359-8344.
