Replacement of the Courtland Cutoff bridge at 20th S. was endorsed Tuesday by the New Ulm City Council as the city's official bridge replacement program.

The action was a formality required by the state.

It noted that the city and Brown and Nicollet Counties have signed a joint powers agreement to replace this bridge and that state money is available for replacement of deficient bridges.

Three bridges in New Ulm have been determined to be deficient by the state highway department-the Courtland Cutoff, Metzen Bridge and Poor Farm Bridge.
