Mayor Carl Wyczawski wields a shovel during the planting of an Arbor Day tree in front of the Municipal Building. The Friday planting represented New Ulm’s part in the American Revolution Bicentennial Tree Program. The Minnesota State Horticultural Society, working with the Minnesota Bicentennial Arbor Day Committee, is coordinating such tree plantings and dedications as part of the Bicentennial.
