Local parties interested in the organization of a gun club met at the salesroom of the Sportsman’s Paradise Monday evening and discussed tentative plans for the forming of such a club and discussed the kind of a trap to buy, the building of a trap house and other details. H. A. Fenske is sponsoring the club which will be known as the “Paradise Gun Club.”Mr. Fenske states that more than thirty members have been signed up to date and before the membership closes between sixty and eighty members will have enrolled.

Enthusiasts at Meeting

At the Monday night meeting twenty-five enthusiasts were present and expressed their interest in movement. Mr. Fenske was instructed to write and get prices on a trap machine and when the meeting is held next week, figures will be presented and a selection will be made. It was also planned to erect a trap house, 4 by 8 feet. Detailed information will be presented at the next meeting and a decision will be made in regard to building the same. Benches and tables will also be put out.

Membership Fee Is $3.

Membership fees have been set at $3 and any one interested in trap shooting is eligible for membership. It is hoped that the ladies of this city and the surrounding community will become interested and join the club. Besides the membership fee, each member will have to pay one cent a piece for the clay pigeons he uses in the shoot and must furnish his or her own shot gun and shells. The clay pigeons purchased by each individual will be thrown from the trap box by an automatic load and in this way will give the entrants good practice in aiming, etc.

Shoot At Fair Grounds

The fair grounds has been the place selected for holding these shoots, as it is the logical place. A voluntary committee will inspect the grounds and determine how much material will be needed for the trap house and will also spot a desirable location in the shooting field.
