Does anyone remember having met Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Sanders, or either of them, in this city during the recent Brown County fair? If so, relatives in the Windy City, and especially the former’s mother, who is greatly worried, will appreciate word to that effect. They have not heard from the missing couple since August 28, when the last of three telegrams, sent to Chicago from New Ulm on three consecutive days, was received.

Gets Telephone Call.

Wednesday morning of this week, A. H. Stork of the local produce firm of Stork Bros., received a long distance telephone call from John Sanders, Chicago commission merchant, asking Mr. Stork to make inquiries here about his brother, Arthur, said to be traveling with his wife and believed to have arrived here from Minneapolis during the week of the Brown County fair.

Wires Home for Funds.

On August 26, Chicago relatives received a telegram from Mrs. Sanders, sent from New Ulm that day, asking that the sum of $75 be sent here to them. A check to that amount was mailed immediately upon receipt of the message, and addressed to Arthur Sanders, General Delivery, New Ulm, Minn. The letter must have been delivered, for inquiry at the local post office revealed the fact that there is no mail for Mr. Sanders being held at the present time.

Two Other Telegrams.

In his telephone conversation with Mr. Stork, the Chicago commission merchant stated that his brother had wired from here on August 27, stating that it was not necessary to send the money, but on the following day August 28, he sent another message, asking that the funds be forwarded forthwith. It seems that the impression was given Chicago relatives that ether Mr. or Mrs. Sanders were hurt, but inquiries made of the various local physicians, garages and authorities throw no light upon this phase of the mystery.

Search Proves Fruitless.

Mr. Stork spent considerable time inquiring about the missing couple from various people, but his quest proved fruitless. If Mr. Sanders conducted a concession at the Fair grounds here during the recent Brown County fair, this fact cannot be gleaned from Secretary William A. Lindemann’s records, as all the concessions were granted to the Royal American shows by a blanket contract, the owners of the individual stands not being enumerated.
