Apology for missing town hall meeting

To the editor: I’d like to apologize to residents for not being able to attend our recent town meetings with Sen. (Gary) Dahms. As chair of the Minnesota House Ways and Means Committee, I have been in daily meetings with legislative leaders as we try to find compromise on numerous budget proposals in order to finish our legislative work for 2025. Because of this, I was unable to leave St. Paul in order to make the town meetings. Thank you to Sen. Dahms for holding the events. To the editor: As we sit back and observe the huge number of naysayers about President Trump, it leads to the question, What do you know about being President and what it takes to have the knowledge to lead this wonderful country? AI won’t bow to evolution lies

Dear Editor: Artificial Intelligence is going to lead people to the Creator. Unlike scholars who deny God, Artificial Intelligence doesn’t carry an agenda, it simply deciphers reason. The only logical explanation for all of creation is an Intelligent Designer. Foolish arrogance is going to butt up against Artificial Intelligence, because AI won’t bow to the lie of evolution. To the editor: At the New Ulm Diocese Council of Catholic Women convention, U.S. Rep (Brad) Finstad eloquently shared how his faith guides his desire to engage in politics. New Ulm’s noxious weed program gets an ‘F’

To the editor: It’s a mess. It gets worse every year. Noxious weeds are spreading throughout our city. If you search for Brown County Minnesota noxious weeds you will find some excellent information and links about noxious weeds. A contact person for the county is listed. It also states that the city mayor is its weed inspector. Furthermore, it states that the mayor may appoint someone to serve as city weed inspector. Dahms deserves better

To the editor: I am writing to say that I am very disappointed by the conduct of some of the attendees at the recent Gary Dahms legislative town hall meeting in New Ulm. Some of the attendees treated a duly elected state senator with a lack of respect and courtesy. Perhaps some of them should also learn the difference between an elected state senator and an elected federal senator. Senator Dahms has been an effective representative of our community and deserves better than what took place at that gathering.
