That New Ulm is always in the forefront cannot be contradicted. Some weeks ago at a meeting in the Commercial club it was decided that a novel manner of advertising the city and adding an air of the Holiday season would be to place ten-foot Christmas trees in the holes in the sidewalks, which are used for flags on holidays throughout the year. The idea was acted upon and the trees were in place, and strung with colored lights the week following Thanksgiving.
