Brown County Sheriff’s Office

• Responded to a domestic report at 12:12 p.m. Oct. 25 at 107 Summit Ave., Hanska. The suspect is a 45-year-old Hanska man. Nobody was arrested. A report was sent to the Brown County Attorney’s Office.

• Responded to a civil property dispute at 9:59 p.m. Oct. 22 between an ex-boyfriend and girlfriend at 200 3rd St. E, Hanska. No damage was reported. No reports were sent.

• Responded to an abandoned/stalled vehicle at CR 24/CR 8, Leavenworth Township at 8:41 a.m. Oct. 23. A 50-year-old New Ulm man was transported to the Watonwan County Jail on a misdemeanor theft and receiving stolen property warrants. He is also wanted in Nobles County.

New Ulm Police

• Stopped a vehicle at Broadway and 13th St.N. at 6:48 p.m. Oct. 24. A 32-year-old New Ulm man was cited for expired registration and no insurance. A report was sent to the Brown County Attorney’s Office.

• Responded to a call from a group home at 1200 Southridge Road at 8:30 p.m. Oct. 23. A 24-year-old New Ulm woman was found to be in possession of a vial of THC oil and a vaping device. A report was sent to the Brown County Attorney’s Office.

• Responded to a civil dispute between a 41-year-old New Ulm man and his ex-wife at 10:33 p.m. Oct. 23 at 914 Spring St. N. The victim was advised to apply for an Harassment Restraining Order (HRO). A report was made for documentation.

• Received a scam call from a Front St. S. resident at 9:15 a.m. Oct. 24. The victim said they were called about a Texas warrant and wanted a $500 Best Buy gift card to pay for it. The victim bought the card and had it sent to the caller before calling police.

• Responded to a 911 hangup at 6201/2 1st St. N. at 9:21 p.m. Oct. 22. The victim, an 37-year-old New Ulm woman was found to have injuries that were not fresh. She was advised to apply for an HRO. The suspect is a 32-year-old New Ulm man. A report was sent to the Brown County Attorney’s Office and Council Against Domestic Abuse.

• Received a report at 8:54 a.m. Monday from Bank Midwest it received a counterfeit $20 bill from Kwik Trip. A report was made for documentation.

\Sleepy Eye Police

• Received a theft report at Casey’s General Store, 1101 Main St. E. at 9:05 a.m. Oct. 23. The suspect passed a counterfeit $20 bill. The report remains under active investigation. No other details were available.

Renville County Sheriff’s Office

• Dispatched to the intersection of CR 16 and 670th Avenue, Bandon Township, about four miles northwest of Fairfax for a one-vehicle crash with injuries at 2:25 a.m. Oct.24. Peyton Loken,21, Franklin, was driving a 2017 Chevy Silverado when she drove past “road closed” signs and came to a stop in a large dirt pile in the road.

She was not wearing a seat belt and was pinned inside, before she was extricated. She was flown from the scene to North Memorial Health, Robbinsdale. Her condition was not known. Alcohol is a suspected factor in the crash. Assisting agencies included Fairfax Police and Ambulance, Fire & Rescue, CentraCare Ambulance and North Memorial Air Care. The crash is under investigation.

Minnesota State Patrol

• Responded to a one-vehicle crash on TH 19 at 1st Avenue, Morton, Renville County at 4:46 p.m. Oct. 25. A 2007 Chrysler Aspen driven by Timothy S. Roth, 27, Redwood Falls, was westbound on Highway 19 when he left the road in wet conditions.

She was transported to a Redwood Falls hospital with non-life threatening injuries. He wore a seat belt and alcohol was not involved. Assisting agencies included Morton Fire/Ambulance, the Renville County Sheriff’s Office and Carris Health.
