SLEEPY EYE — Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s defeated MACCRAY 74-65 in a nonconference boys basketball game Monday.
Adam Steffensmeier led the Knights with 28 points, eight assists, six steals and four rebounds, while Tyler Mathiowetz had 10 points, four rebounds and three steals. Brecken Hulke added 10 points, five blocks and four rebounds for St. Mary’s.
St. Mary’s (2-0) hosts New Ulm Cathedral next Monday.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Nicollet 60, AC/GE 48
ALDEN — Nicollet downed Alden-Conger/Glenville-Emmons 60-48 in a Valley Division girls basketball game on Monday.
Cheyenne Klockziem led the Raiders with 22 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks, while Zoie Rengstorf had 15 points, seven rebounds and seven assists. Jazmyn Goettlicher added 11 points, eight rebounds and four steals.
Nicollet (2-2, 1-0) hosts Madelia on Thursday.
