Kuehn, Therkilsen, Guetter highlight All-Journal Football Offense

Parker Kuehn, Jr.,

QB, Springfield

A two-time All-District player, Kuehn captained the Tigers’ offense to the tune of 2,413 yards and 35 touchdowns passing and added two more scores with his legs. Kuehn led an offense that averaged 45 points this season, with his decision-making being a key cog in the offense.

Carter Therkilsen, Sr.,

RB, RRC

Therkilsen rushed for 2,721 yards and 31 touchdowns this season for the state tournament Falcons and added nine receptions for 76 yards and a score. Therkilsen totaled 56.8% of RRC’s yards and 49.8% of its points, helping the Falcons to a 10-1 record.

Jackson Guetter, Sr.,

RB, Cedar Mountain

Guetter was the center of the Cougars’ offense this season, setting a school record for rushing yards in a season with 1,282. He scored 16 times on the ground and added 38 catches for 532 yards and three touchdowns, as well as 13 total 2-point conversions for a school-record 160 points scored, over a third of the Cougars’ points this season. Guetter finishes his prep football career with 1,657 yards rushing, 889 yards receiving and 26 total touchdowns.

Alex Portner, Jr.,

RB, Cathedral

An All-District player, Portner broke out this season for the Greyhounds, putting up 1,109 yards on 161 carries with 13 touchdowns. Averaging 6.9 yards per carry, Portner was a big-play threat and could go for a touchdown on any carry.

Isaac Fredin, Sr.,

WR, Springfield

Fredin earned his second All-District selection this season after putting up 55 catches, most on the team, for 686 yards and 15 touchdowns, helping lead the Tigers to a 9-1 record. Fredin expanded his route tree this year and was a go-to threat for Springfield.

Paytin Johnson, Sr.,

RB, Springfield

After missing most of last season with injury, Johnson came back with a vengeance, rushing for 991 yards on 112 carries with eight touchdowns. Johnson was also a key member of the defense with 50 tackles this year.

Garrett Stegeman, Sr.,

RB, GFW

Stegeman took the majority of the carries for the Firebirds this season and produced to the tune of 946 yards and 11 touchdowns. Stegeman averaged 7.5 yards per carry and helped lead GFW to a section championship appearance in his senior season. For his career, Stegeman totaled 1,567 yards and 18 touchdowns.

Drew Kemp, So.,

QB, Wabasso

Kemp had a strong year in his first full-time season starting, completing 93 of 134 passes for 1,336 yards and 13 touchdowns. The sophomore under center also added 44 carries for 163 yards and six scores on the ground as he helped lead the Rabbits to a section finals appearance.

Henry Oscarson, Sr.,

QB, Nicollet

Despite only completing six games this season, Oscarson still put up 1,401 yards passing and 10 touchdowns on 66% completion while rushing for 415 yards on 115 carries with 10 more scores. Oscarson also played linebacker for the Raiders, totaling 48 tackles, a sack, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.

Oscarson finishes his career with 3,701 yards and 35 touchdowns passing while adding 807 yards and 18 touchdowns on the ground.

Zach Hubbard, RB/WR,

Sr., New Ulm

A do-it-all player for the Eagles this season, Hubbard rushed for 449 yards and three touchdowns while recording 381 yards and three touchdowns receiving. Hubbard was also impactful on special teams and defense, returning a kickoff for a touchdown and intercepting five passes, returning one for a touchdown.

Carson Schiller, Sr.,

QB, Cedar Mountain

Schiller had a strong season for Cedar Mountain, completing 100 passes for 1,455 yards and 13 touchdowns. He also rushed for five touchdowns on 88 yards to help the Cougars to a Section 2 Nine-player semifinals appearance. Schiller holds the Cedar Mountain record for career passing yards (4,593) and touchdowns (44) and added 101 rushing yards and seven touchdowns with a 60.3% career completion percentage.

Colton Rengstorf, Sr., WR, Nicollet (66 receptions, 543 yards receiving, 2 TD receptions)

Brayden Trapp, Jr., OL, Springfield (Blocked for an offense with 2,400+ yards passing and 1,300+ yards rushing)
