SLEEPY EYE — New Ulm Cathedral cruised to a 78-37 win over Edgerton on Saturday afternoon in a Red Rock-Tomahawk Conference crossover boys basketball game at Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s High School.
Jake Finstad led the Greyhounds in the win with 15 points and four assists, while Zach Gieseke added 14 points, Jevan Wilfahrt had 11 points, eight rebounds and seven assists and Isaac Miller had 10 points and four rebounds.
Cathedral (5-8) is at Minnesota Valley Lutheran for a Tomahawk Conference game on Tuesday night.
Springfield 86, HLOF 72
SLEEPY EYE — Springfield defeated Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda 86-72 in a Red Rock-Tomahawk Conference crossover boys basketball game on Saturday at Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s High School.
Noah Vogel led the Tigers with 20 points and six rebounds. Brayden Sturm added 17 Points, eight rebounds and eight assists, while Ben Potter scored 14 points and dished out five assists.
Springfield (6-5) will host Cedar Mountain at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday night.
Adrian/Ellsworth 72, Sleepy Eye 52
SLEEPY EYE — Adrian/Ellsworth downed Sleepy Eye 72-52 in a Red Rock-Tomahawk Conference crossover boys basketball game on Saturday at Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s High School.
Marcus Martinez paced the Indians with 21 points, while Eric Lozano scored 14 points. Landon Wendinger added 6 points, six rebounds and six blocks for the Indians.
Sleepy Eye (5-9) host Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday night in Winthrop.

SJA 71, Cathedral 56
NEW ULM — St. James Area downed New Ulm Cathedral 71-56 on Saturday afternoon in a nonconference girls basketball game.
Jenna Hotovec led the Greyhounds with 21 points, while Maddie Gilles had 17 points. Margo Finstad added 9 points for Cathedral, while Ava Krueger had 6 points.
Cathedral (4-11) hosts Minnesota Valley Lutheran in a Tomahawk Conference game on Monday night.
