NUHS boys close out season with multiple top 20 finishes at 2AA meet

WACONIA — While the New Ulm High School boys’ track and field team failed to have any qualifiers for the state tournament this year, the team did end its season on a promising note by having seven top 20 finishes at the Section 2AA Championships at Waconia High School on Friday.

Freshman Easton Clark had a big day for the Eagles, finishing seventh in the triple jump (40-10), eighth in the 400-meter dash (53.11) and 11th in the long jump (19-10.75). Logan Kletscher also had a nice day for New Ulm, taking 11th in the 200 (23.96) and 12th in the pole vault (10-08). In the discus throw, Dylon Schroeder closed out his senior year by taking seventh (129-05), while Nathan Wolkow took 18th in the shot put (40-02).
