Cathedral 63, Wabasso 62

WABASSO — New Ulm Cathedral snuck past Wabasso 63-62 on Monday night in Tomahawk Conference boys’ basketball action.

The Greyhounds were led by Sam Knowles, who had 24 points, 13 rebounds, six assists, four blocks and four steals. David Wilfahrt also added 12 points and five boards for Cathedral, while Jevan Wilfahrt added 12 points.

For Wabasso, Will Carlson led with 23 points, while Isaac Kronback added 20 points.

Girls’ basketball

Nicollet/Loyola 68, Cedar Mountain 39

NICOLLET — Nicollet/Loyola defeated Cedar Mountain 68-39 on Monday night in a nonconference girls’ basketball game.

Marah Hulke led the Raiders with 20 points, four rebounds and four assists, while Hayley Selby had 14 points, 12 rebounds and four steals. Also for the Raiders, Sam Rist had 8 points and 10 boards, while Josi Hansen added 7 points.

No stats were submitted for Cedar Mountain.

Nicollet (2-2) hosts Le Sueur-Henderson on Friday, while Cedar Mountain (0-2) is at Sleepy Eye on Friday.
