Springfield boys, girls win C-C meet
SPRINGFIELD — The Springfield/Cedar Mountain boys’ and girls’ cross-country teams swept a Tomahawk Conference meet on Thursday.
On the boys’ side, S/CM took first with a team score of 21. Minnesota Valley Lutheran was second with a 54 and Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s/Sleepy Eye/New Ulm Cathedral was third with a 61.
Joshua Hagen of SM/SE/NUC won the boys’ event, finishing in 18:41. S/CM’s Zach Finch was second in 18:47 and S/CM’s Ben Potter was third in 19:00. SM/SE/NUC’s Nate Fliszar finished fourth overall in 19:27 and S/CM’s Braden Sturm was fifth in 19:36.
On the girls’ side, S/CM won with 21 points. MVL was second with a 48 and SM/SE/NUC was third with a score of 61.
Clare Fischer took first on the girls’ side, finishing in 20:33. Lori McCone of S/CM was second in 20:52 and her teammate Emmy McCone was third in 21:34. S/CM’s Skyla Dauer took fourth in 22:22 and S/CM’s Ellie Tonn was fifth in 22:34.
