• Hagen, a senior, took first place on the boys’ side at Friday’s cross-country meet at Eagles Park in Sleepy Eye. The Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s/Sleepy Eye/New Ulm Cathedral runner won the event in 18:48, holding off teammate Nate Fliszar, who finished the event in 19:01. The SM/SE/NUC boys tied for first in the event with Madelia-Truman/Granada-Huntley-East Chain with 36 team points each.
