New Ulm girls defeat Marshall

MARSHALL — New Ulm got two goals in the second half as it defeated Marshall 2-1 in Big  South Conference girls’ soccer action on Friday.

New Ulm’s first goal came from Livia Reinarts off of an assist from Mia Johnson. New Ulm then got a goal from Bryn Nesvold off of an assist from Paige Kalis to take the 2-0 lead. Marshall scored a late goal with three minutes left.

Kendra Nesvold had nine saves for the Eagles and New Ulm finished with 20 shots on goal.

New Ulm hosts Marshall again on Tuesday.
