NEW ULM — New Ulm VFW Gold swept Fairmont 8-7 and 6-5 on Saturday.

In the first game, Jace Schaefer earned the win. Aiden Eckstein doubled and Sam Knowles tripled. Julian Hernandez had a hit and an RBI.

In the second game, Schaefer earned the win. Isiah Reiser had a walk-off hit in the bottom of last inning for win. Maddox Mortenson was 3 for 3 with two RBIs and Brody Bushard was 2 for 2 with two RBIs. Jaden Drill was 2 for 2 with a triple.

New Ulm Gold plays Mankato West at 7:30 p.m. at Franklin Rogers Park.
