• Both athletes helped lead their teams to a Section 2A boys’ basketball semifinal win on March 9 at Gustavus Adolphus College. The two teams were then scheduled to battle each other for a trip to the state tournament last Friday before the Minnesota State High School League canceled all remaining state and section tournaments.

• Knowles scored 24 points and had 13 rebounds in the Greyhounds’ 82-68 Section 2A, North Subsection championship win over No. 1-seeded BOLD on March 9. He ended his senior year averaging 17.2 points, 7 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 2 steals and a block per game. He was also unanimously chosen to the Tomahawk All-Conference Team this season.

• Scheffler scored 24 points in the Tigers’ 70-60 Section 2A, South Subsection championship win over top-seeded Waterville-Elysian-Morristown on March 9. This season, Scheffler averaged 27 points and 10 rebounds per game. He also was a unanimous selection to the Tomahawk All-Conference Team.
