Sleepy Eye downs Stark 8-4 in TEL action

STARK — The Sleepy Eye Indians downed the Stark Longhorns 8-4 on Tuesday night in a Tomahawk East League amateur baseball game.

Alex Sellner got the complete-game win on the mound for the Indians, giving up 10 hits, three walks and four earned runs while striking out nine. Adam Sellner took the loss for Stark, pitching seven innings and allowing 10 hits, seven walks and five earned runs with seven strikeouts.

The Indians were led by Joey Walter, who was 3 for 5 with an RBI and a run scored, and Chad Armbruster, who was 2 for 4 with a three-run homer and five RBIs. Also for Sleepy Eye, Jake Mielke, Matt Mielke and Austin Fischer each added two hits apiece.

Stark was led by Brandon Helget, who was 2 for 5 with an RBI, while Sean Mathiowetz and Jake Mangen each added two hits apiece.
