Power-play woes hurt Steel in loss to Grizzlies

ROCHESTER — The New Ulm Steel had a tough time with their power play in Saturday’s NA3HL game against the Rochester Grizzlies on Saturday night, falling 6-3 as a result.

The Steel left Saturday’s game empty-handed on the power play, going 0 for 8. The Grizzlies added a pair of power-play goals on five chances.

The Steel were also outshot 47-38.

Michael Savelkoul, Jacob Halvorson and Jarrett Cammarata added a goal each for the Steel, while Corey Stormer, Nathan Andrade, Brian Oare, Sam Ayd and Oliver Hoeschen added an assist.

Henry Baribeau took the loss in the net for the Steel, saving 41 shots.

The Steel are at Granite City for a 7:30 p.m. game on Friday.
