NEW ULM — Former New Ulm American Legion baseball player Doug Palmer will be honored this Wednesday, August 1 at the D-I American Legion Baseball Tournament Banquet at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel in Bloomington.

Palmer will receive the Minnesota American Legion Graduate of the Year Award.

Palmer holds the all-time highest batting average in National play, hitting .679 as a member of the New Ulm 1978 legion World Series team.
