MONTEVIDEO — The Wabasso boys’ track and field team finished fifth in the Section 3A championships, while the girls tied for 12th on Thursday.

For the boys, Colton Taylor took fourth in the 200-meter dash (23.17) and second in the 400 (51.42). Taylor also finished fifth in the long jump (20-04).

In the shot put, Myles Zeug took first (51-11.5), Isaac Schmiesing took second (46-07.25) and Scott Zollner took fifth (45-01). Zollner also took fifth in the discus throw (129).

Carl Swedzinski took second in the discus throw (141-05).

For the girls, Lindsey Bernardy took second in the 400 (1:00.70). In the 3,200, Chloe Haven took fifth (12:45.08).

The girls’ 4×400-meter and 4×800 relay teams also took third (4:13.46) and fourth (10:27.97), respectively.
