SLEEPY EYE — Courtney Dittbenner had a walk-off double for Sleepy Eye in extra innings as the Indians edged Redwood Valley on Tuesday in a nonconference softball game.

Kathryn Schroepfer earned the win for the Indians pitching all eight innings. She gave up[ four runs, four hits, walked two and struck out seven batters.

Hannah Schroepfer of Sleepy Eye was 2 for 3 with an RBI.

Sleepy Eye (5-4) will play at 6 p.m. on Thursday at Nicollet.

Sibley East 9, GFW 0

WINTHROP — Sibley East’s Sydney Schott pitched a one-hit shutout as the Wolverines downed Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop on Tuesday in a nonconference softball game.

Schott had a complete game. She struck out eight batters for the win.

Carter Nachreiner took the loss, pitching seven innings, giving up two earned runs with eight hits, three walks and four strikeouts.

Haley Schwecke had GFW’s lone hit.

GFW will host Minnesota Valley Lutheran at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday in a doubleheader.

SPRINGFIELD — Springfield beat Renville County West 12-0 on Tuesday in 5 innings.

Brittany Rogotzke was the winning pitcher, giving up three hits with three walks and three strikeouts. Sydney Schauman was 2 for 4, including a double. Taylor Augustin had a triple that scored three runs. Briana Schmidt, Mya Mickelson, and Sam Richert also each added one hit apiece for the Tigers.

SLEEPY EYE — The Sleepy Eye girls took third, and the Sleepy Eye boys took fourth at the Sleepy Eye invitational on Tuesday.

The Sleepy Eye boys placed second in the 4×400-meter relay with a time of 3:59.25. Also for the Sleepy Eye boys, Luke Miller placed second in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.77. Zach Schumacher placed second in the 400-meter dash with a time of 58.07. Isaac Huiras placed second in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 47.26. Isaac Nelson placed second in triple jump with a distance of 36-feet-1/2 inches. James Hagen placed first in the 100-meter wheelchair with a time of 48.94. Hagen placed first in the 200-meter wheelchair with a time of 1:25.06. Hagen also placed first in wheelchair shotput with a distance of 3-7.

The Sleepy Eye girls placed third in the 4×400-meter relay with a time of 4:45.90. Also for the Sleepy Eye girls, Abigail Hagen placed second in the 1600-meter run with a time of 6:00.08. Brianna Polesky placed third in the 1600-meter run with a time of 6:14.98. Polesky also placed third in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:43.03. Sophia Portner placed first in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 54.69. Sophie Gustafson placed second in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 54.76. Hali Soukup placed second in the triple jump with a distance of 28-2.

For the CM/C/S boys, Jordan Toll placed third in the 400-meter dash with a time of 58.09.

The CM/C/S girls placed third in the 4×800-meter relay with a time of 11:52.33. The girls also placed sceond in the 4×100-meter dash with a time of 58.56. Also for the CM/C/S girls, Sydney Hauger placed second in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.39. Hauger also placed second in the 200-meter dash with a time of 27.74. Megan Sandgren placed third in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:05.64. Lauren Zeug placed first in the triple jump with a distance of 28-11.
