Isaac Fink named Tomahawk Conference Boys’ Player of the Year

Tomahawk Conference champion Springfield had three players named to the all-conference team for boys’ basketball after the Tigers finished 28-2.

Isaac Fink was named the Tomahawk Conference Player of the Year after the Tigers made it to the Section 2A title game this past season.

Teammates Decker Scheffler and Tanner Vogel were also named to the all-conference team. Mitchell Buerkle was named honorable mention for the Tigers.

For New Ulm Cathedral, Nathan Hauser and Jon Zinniel were named all-conference while James Gillis and Alex Hillesheim were named honorable mention. Cedar Mountain/Comfrey had Dylan Hillesheim and Lewis Pendleton named all-conference and Eli Samuelson was named honorable mention. Minnesota Valley Lutheran’s Jake Kettner was named all-conference and Jace Marotz was honorable mention while Sleepy Eye’s Zach Haala was named all-conference and Ben Laffen was honorable mention.

Trey Weispfenning of Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart was all-conference and Wabasso’s Tony Franta was all-conference. Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop’s Kyle Huiras as honorable mention.

Springfield’s Lance Larson was also named the Coach of the Year by the conference.
