Kamphoff to be the guest speaker at NU Athletic Banquet

NEW ULM — Cindra Kamphoff, a speaker, entrepreneur and professor who is a go-to high performance coach for professional athletes, executives, business and championship teams around the nation will be the speaker for the 64th Annual New Ulm Club City Athletic Banquet on Saturday, April 7th at Martin Luther College.

The banquet begins at 6:30 p.m.

Kamphoff is currently the Director of Sport and Performance Psychology at Minnesota State University, Mankato.

Kamphoff’s clients range from Verizon Wireless and Mayo Clinic Health System to the Minnesota Vikings, where she works with individually with the players to help them master their mindset. Her work has appeared in the New York Times, ESPN The Magazine, Huffington Post, USA Today and Runner’s World Magazine.

She is the founder of the High Performance Mindset podcast which is available on ITunes and Stitcher Radio and is a member of the National Speakers Association. She has spoken how to gain a high-performance edge while providing practical strategies that work.

She is also the founder and director at the Center for Sports and Performance Psychology and is a professor at Minnesota State University. She has a Ph.D. in sport and performance psychology from the University of North Carolina-Greensboro and a B.A. in psychology from the University of Northern Iowa where she competed in track and field and cross country. She is an avid marathoner who has competed in 15 marathons including five Boston Marathons.

Tickets for the banquet are $16 each and are available at Nicklasson Athletic or any of the three high schools.
