SLEEPY EYE –Sleepy Eye defeated New Century Academy 105-11 on Saturday.

McKenzie Cselovszki had 16 points for the Indians, while

Madi Heiderscheidt had 14 points and 14 assists (new single game school record). Heiderscheidt also added seven rebounds.

Heiderscheidt passed 1,000 career points during the game.

Sarah Ibarra added 11 points, while Madison Krueger, Hanna Himmelman and Mariah Miller each chipped in 10 points.

Sleepy Eye (2-0) plays at Wabasso Thursday in conference action.

Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s 69, JWP 45

SLEEPY EYE — Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s won its second game in a row this year after a 69-45 victory over Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton on Saturday.

Cassie Heinrichs led the Knights with 18-point,11-rebound double-double. Also for the Knights, Madison Mathiowetz had 18 points and seven rebounds, while Sydney Windschitl had 17 points, seven rebounds and six steals.

Jody Hansen added eight points and six assists for St. Mary’s.

St. Mary’s (2-0) travels to Martin County West next on Tuesday.
