Fairmont girls defeat New Ulm in Big South action
FAIRMONT — The New Ulm girls’ soccer team lost 2-1 to Fairmont in Big South Conference action on Monday.
New Ulm’s Madison Roufs scored New Ulm’s goal in the 22nd minute on a penalty kick to put the Eagles ahead 1-0.
Fairmont scored the equalizer about 10 minutes later and then went ahead 2-1 at halftime, where the score remained the rest of the way.
Callie Heck had six saves for New Ulm and New Ulm finished with 16 shots on goal.
New Ulm (0-1-1) is at Faribault on Tuesday.
