Tomahawk Conference Baseball team announced

NEW ULM — New Ulm Cathedral’s Kasey Kuck was named the Tomahawk Conference Player of the Year in baseball, according to an All-Conference news release.

Kuck batted .369 at the plate and was 4-2 on the mound for the Greyhounds. Josh Seidl also earned All-Conference honors for the Greyhounds.

Other All-Conference selections include Branden Flock, Decker Scheffler and Tanner Vogel for Springfield; Colton Gemmill, Avery Stevens, Carter Brinkman and Sam Tessmer for Sleepy Eye; Sean Salfer, Nathan Schroepfer and Caleb Berg for Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s; Nick Altermatt, Devan Liebl and Jacob Plaetz for Wabasso; Nick Fischer and Alec Gratz for Minnesota Valley Lutheran; and Dylan Maiers of Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart.

Honorable mentions include Kale Meendering and Carter Cook of Springfield; Landon Strong of Sleepy Eye; Alex Woitas and Kyle Windschitl of St. Mary’s; A.J. Buboltz and Jordan Fischer of MVL; Nate Hauser and Mark Schommer of Cathedral; Nathan Schultz of BLHS and David Herrera of Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop.

Sleepy Eye’s Aaron Nesvold and Springfield’s Bob Fink were both named Tomahawk Conference Co-Coaches of the Year.
