Andersen Loose inducted into Winona State athletic HOF

WINONA – New Ulm softball coach Kristi Andersen Loose is one of five new inductees into the Winona State University athletic Hall of Fame.

Andersen Loose, who led the New Ulm softball team to Class AA state titles in 2012 and 2013, was the starting shortstop and leadoff hitter for all four years for the Warriors. She was a first-team All-Conference selection in 2000, 2001 and 2002 and was also the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Player of the Year in softball as a senior in 2002.

By the time she graduated in 2002, Andersen Loose was the school’s career leader in runs scored and was also second in career hits and fourth in career stolen bases.

As the New Ulm softball coach, Andersen Loose has gone 219-69 and led her team to two Class AA state titles and 10 conference titles.

The induction ceremony will take place on Saturday, Oct. 15 as part of the school’s Homecoming festivities.
