SLEEPY EYE - Marjorie H. Sandmann, age 89, of Sleepy Eye, died on Nov. 30, 2013, at Fairfax Community Home in Fairfax.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 4, at 11 a.m. at Faith United Methodist Church in Sleepy Eye. Clergy will be Pastor John Mitchem. Interment will be at Home Cemetery, Sleepy Eye.
Friends may call on the family from 9:30-11 a.m. on Wednesday prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers the family would prefer memorials to Faith United Methodist Church.

Marjorie "Marge" Schwint Sandmann was born in Mallard, Iowa to Frank and Theo (Stowell) Schwint on Jan. 16, 1924. They moved to Evan in 1929, then to Sleepy Eye where she graduated Sleepy Eye Public School in 1942. She worked at Broich Grocery, Robert's Insurance and Moorman's Manufacturing until she retired. She married Ivan Sandmann on Aug. 7, 1944 in Morgan and has lived in Sleepy Eye since. They had two sons, Ronald and Michael. Marge enjoyed playing cards, knitting, fishing, baking Christmas cookies and volunteering at the Red Cross Blood Bank. She was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church, Women's Group, VFW and American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived her son, Michael (Judy) of Franklin; grandchildren, Teresa (Dan) Hensch, Brent (Jody); great-grandchildren, Zachary and Lucas Hensch; special friends, Tom and Joyce Roberts; brother, Robert (Eunice) Schwindt and nieces, nephews and in-laws.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ivan; son, Ronald; sisters, Francis Feig, Hazel Ebelsisor, Grace Volker, and in-laws.
