MADELIA - Lake Crystal-Welcome Memorial/Nicollet recorded nine pins and three forfeits to defeat Madelia-Truman Tuesday night in high school wrestling action.

LCWM/N's Tanner Elliott pinned Weston Ricard in 24 seconds at 145.

Madelia-Truman's Adam Cooling won by major decision 17-7 over Davantay Corey.

In its second match-up, Madelia-Truman defeated Mankato East.

Cole Pietsch (106) of Madelia-Truman had a pin at 3:55. Jake Denn (182) had a technical fall at 3:04.

New Ulm wins two at triangular

New Ulm 53, St. Clair 23

River Valley 30

SPRINGFIELD - The New Ulm Eagles won both of their match-ups Tuesday night in a triangular wrestling meet.

The Eagles defeated St. Clair and then defeated River Valley.

Tanner Stark (113), Brandon Geiger (145) and Lorenzo Hernandez (195) went 2-0 for the Eagles. Stark had two falls for New Ulm.

Top-ranked Lance Briard recorded a fall for River Valley at 1:47 of the first period in the second match.

New Ulm (6-19, 1-3) travels to Blue Earth Area Friday night.
