One injured in accident at the Y

A Silver Lake woman sustained non-life-threatening injuries in an accident Monday afternoon at the intersection of highways 14 and 15 near New Ulm. Wanda L. Hanson, 37, was driving a 2012 Ford Focus north on Highway 15 when she collided with a Mack 600 tractor/trailer, which was driven by Craig D. Gochnauer, 42, of Dodge Center, according to the State Patrol. Hanson, who was wearing a seatbelt and whose air bag deployed, was taken to New Ulm Medical Center. Gochnauer had no apparent injuries. The Focus was totaled. The semi received no damage. Courtland Fire, Allina Ambulance, New Ulm Police, and Nicollet County Sheriff's office assisted at the scene. The accident occurred at 4:20 p.m.
