Sorry I'm a little late for your corrections: my information has has Mangen finishing 4th in the conference for POTY. He received 1 vote for POTY, probably from his own coach. Also, please check that Cathedral doesn't have a player on the 1st team, so that wouldn't have helped him either. You should use more facts and less emotion and maybe your arguments will be worth listening to.

Can someone explain to me how these New Ulm Journal experts missed out on John Mangen making the first-team? The kid made the Class-A all state team, and reportedly was 2nd in the voting in the tomahawk conference voting for POTY. He literally carried his team from a winless season last year to 7 victories this year, and probably would have been more, had his teammates not been an abundance of 8th graders. Hits .377 and has an ERA of 2.19, yes he had a losing record, again look at how young his team was. Put him on SPFD/SESM he arguably finishes with 7-9 wins, at least. He threw a 2 hitter vs Spfd, who finished 2nd in their section. A 2 hitter, and still lost. Not his fault, what else does he have to do to get respect? Go to NU Public? Or go to Cathedral? Tanner Kluis is a good athlete, but he also hit .315 and had only HALF of the RBIs Mangen had. The New Ulm bias continues!
