To the editor:

I’m writing this letter in support of New Ulm City Council candidate Andrea Boettger. As a long-time business owner, and one that has faced adverse effects of COVID-19, I know Andrea has the future of New Ulm in mind. So often new candidates with fresh ideas are overlooked, this shouldn’t be one of those times. Andrea is a true business leader. She understands the risks and budgeting concerns for the future of New Ulm, running a business herself.

Voting for Andrea doesn’t mean an end to New Ulm’s Charm and Tradition, it enhances it with a new vision. Andrea brings new clarity to the council and a new fresh perspective. Andrea doesn’t just lead a not for profit business but a historic landmark, which she has enhanced tenfold.

Sitting on the board of directors for the New Ulm Chamber of Commerce, running a business, mom and wife, Andrea deserves the vote of the entire community. It is time for change. I personally had great interactions with Andrea on the board of directors for the Chamber. She is the change New Ulm needs and she listens to understand. I fully support Andrea Boettger for city council president.
