Hagedorn: The Ag Candidate

To the editor,

I’m a lifelong farmer in southern Minnesota. I’ve seen politicians make their share of promises to the agricultural community over the years. Dan Feehan has failed to demonstrate that he understands the issues facing farmers today.

Feehan will partner with Nancy Pelosi to “act on climate change” – which means more regulations and higher costs to farmers. Obamacare, over-bearing EPA regulations, and other liberal measures have been devastating policies for farmers and southern Minnesota.

I guess we shouldn’t expect Feehan to know anything about agriculture or rural Minnesota for that matter, since he never lived in the First Congressional District until he was sent here from DC to enter the congressional race.

This November, I’m voting for Jim Hagedorn. Jim grew up on his family farm near Truman in Martin County. With Jim’s desire to serve on the House Agriculture Committee, he would be a much-needed voice in Washington representing farmers’ interests.

When times are tough, it is imperative we have a representative who understands agriculture and will work to sustain farmers and our rural communities. He is committed to free-trade policies to lower barriers and to open global markets to expand trade opportunities for southern Minnesotan farmers and agri-businesses. Supporting policies to lower the costs of farming and working diligently to roll-back regulations and red-tape, which are hurting farmers, are Jim Hagedorn’s priorities.

Lastly, JIM HAGEDORN IS ENDORSED BY MINNESOTA FARM BUREAU – a well-deserved endorsement. I hope you’ll join me in sending Jim Hagedorn to Congress.
