The Seventh North Bridge
To the editor:
Rising arches up so high,
Earthen mounds on either side,
Reaching into the blue sky;
Over them we soon will ride.
Workers struggled these months long,
Setting pillars into place;
Making sure they would be strong;
Holding beams out into space.
Exit ramps come down those mounds.
Entrance ramps up them ascend.
As connecting roads come ’round
Then the deck can to them blend.
Concrete roadways will be poured
On the beams and decking high.
Railings then; sign boards adorned;
Soon flows traffic in the sky.
