CROP Hunger Walk May 6

To the editor:

The Brown County Area CROP WALK will be on Sunday, May 6, 2018 from a new starting place. We will leave from the German Park Pavilion (200 N. German St.) and follow the bike trail to the Brown County Food Shelf and back. Registration begins at 12:30 p.m. and the walk begins at 1 p.m.

Church World Service (CWS) is the sponsoring organization. It is a cooperative, ecumenical ministry that provides assistance for hunger and poverty, water source development, disaster relief, and education in gardening and farming in the U.S. and throughout the world. 75% of monies raised go through CWS to the areas most needed and 25 percent to our local food shelf. Several of our local churches are involved in the planning of this community event and all are welcome.

This event is about our community working together to make a difference here and in the world. Please join us. You may sign up to walk and/or donate at several local churches or at the event. Checks can be made out to CWS-CROP or to donate on-line, go to http://www.crophungerwalk.org/newulmmn. Questions? Call Chris @ 359-7052. Thank you for your support!
