Some thoughts on the gun debate
To the editor:
I am not mad at anyone. Just a few random thoughts on the gun discussion.
When all is said and done, most generally, more is said than done. I do not belong to the NRA. I do support the Second Amendment. At this time I know of no legislation pending to change or abolish it.
A few days ago I saw a sign on TV that read – “Hey NRA how many kids did you kill today?” Obviously the answer is zero.
A few days later I saw another sign on TV that said – “It’s not the guns, it’s the people.” Truer words were never spoken. Evidently better judgment by authorities may well have prevented a number of deaths. But everyone makes mistakes.
In closing, I see no reason why Jon Q. Public needs a weapon of mass destruction at home. Review the situations, give it some deep and somber thoughts and thank you.
